There are many theories about the origin of Pokémon. Scientists regard Mew as the ancestor of all Pokémon because Mew is said to possess the genetic composition of all Pokémon.
There are also myths about the origin of the Pokéverse. It was Arceus who shaped the universe and created Dialga and Palkia, and so on and so forth....
But what about humans? What is the origin of humanity of the Pokéverse? Are they Arceus' creations? Or maybe they only evolved from Pokémon like Infernape and Monferno (if you are about to apply Darwin's theory of natural selection/evolution in the Pokéverse)....
What do you think? What are your thoughts about this?
Interesting topic. :3 Myself, I've always thought that the humans traveled from earth to inhabit the Pokemon world (hence all the high-tech stuff) or perhaps some of the legendaries created humans themselves. ...I once read something that said that Pokemon-world humans were slightly different in appearance from earth humans, hence the green/blue/red hair and other anime things.
Darwin would get his hair burned off if he tried to apply his logic to the Pokemon world. What natural factors would give a pig the ability to read minds? Or a mouse to shoot electricity? xD
Oh! Cool fanfic idea: six kids from earth are stranded on the Pokemon world and end up starting the entire human civilization there. Yup.
