I loved Jurrasic Park and The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Also I generally like MythBusters.
Ooh, movies. My favorites include Pirates of the Caribbean, Secret Window, Stardust, Iron Man, National Treasure, Firewall, etc. Jurassic Park was awesome, as well. There's not many movies I don't like, to be honest... as long as it's not based off of a book I've read*, has good acting, and has a good plot, I'll like it. ^^
*Harry Potter is an exception here, to a point. Mostly the earlier movies.
I don't really watch a lot of TV...
My favorite movies however are:
Tiger Cage 2, Iron Monkey, Hardboiled, The Killer, Flash Point, SPL, Forbidden City Cop, Royal Tramp, Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle, Wheels on Meals, Dragons Forever, Buller In the Head, Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars, the first two Police Story movies, and New Police Story, Legend of the Wolf, Battle Royale and both Drunken Master movies.
If you haven't heard of these, it's cause most of them are a little older, or just haven't been released outside of China yet (Cause these are Martial Arts movies... I really need to go watch more...). I don't really watch that many movies, but even then, I don't even like many Western action films to be honest. I liked The Mummy (The new one was great), and Hellboy (New one was good too). But that's about it. I'm just more into Eastern action and other things.
Talking anime movies, there's Akira, Cowboy Bebop the Movie, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Rockman EXE the Movie, and most of the Pokemon movies (4, 5, 8 and 10 were my favorites), Escaflowne, and the Fatal Fury movies.
Oh yeah, and I also really liked Galerians: Rion. It was a precursor to the original Galerians, and explained most of what had happened up until the start of the sequel for the PS2.
If anime that's airing in Japan right now counts toward my favorite series, then The Slayers: Revolution (YES! Slayers is back!), Macross Frontier, and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion are current favorites of mine. *Is preparing to add Tales of the Abyss to his list after October 21st*
