So... for those who don't know, Invisionfree's new Zetaboards is out and available for conversion. http://s1.zetaboards.com/zb/index

The new boards have new features such as blogging, a shoutbox, and custom profiles... along with other edited/enhanced/etc. stuff.

Things have been rather quiet here lately, so maybe we should make a change with a bang. Converting is very simple, although I might have to remake/edit the skin or create a new one.

I'm interested in trying out ZetaBoards, but the choice is up to you guys. Change or no change~? Reply, please! ^^

Hmmm... Sounds good to me. I might even convert my forum to Zetaboards.

Hmm. Well. If everything could be transferred to the new forums with the conversion (all members and profiles, forums and topics), then it sounds pretty cool. =D But if we would have to start over, then I wouldn't really want to...

What exactly is kept and what has to be redone when converting? =)

Oh! I just thought of something! If you convert, you have to edit the links to the forums!

Well, yes, we might have to do that... but Kronakitty has a subdomain for her forums on her domain, so it's likely that it would stay the same, too. And even if the URL did change, I'm sure Kronakitty would post the new URL on these forums, so if we were to switch, I'm sure we won't need to worry about that. ^^

I say go for it... a little change can go a long way ^^.. and I've tried Zetaboards, it's pretty snazzy. :P

edit: Looking at their site, it seems pretty much everything's converted and there'll be an automatic URL redirect... although I don't think it'll be necessary.

As long as the new url won't actually have Zeta Boards in it - may look a bit tacky. If you can transfer all the members and posts across, then I don't see why not. Can't wait to use the blogging/(ranting) system.

Ooh, I'm all for it! I converted my debating forum to ZetaBoards, and it is a lot, lot better than InvisionFree.

Mmm, sure. :D I say go for it and convert (it is converting, right? You apply, and your forum is put at the end of a looong list of forums to be zeta-ified.)

This is a great idea, actually. :D We won't lose any content (except maybe the skin... but we were due for a new one anyhow) and it might just solve the spambot problem. I say go for it!

...It may take a while, though... I know a forum that applied in, like, January and they haven't been converted yet. I think. I may be wrong, though. Anyways... why not get in line? :D

...Actually, the ironic thing is, it just got converted. :P Today or yesterday, I'm not sure. Hopefully the process will be a little faster for us.

The good news is, Zeta comes with a styleswitcher! That means we'll have multiple skins available to choose from! ^^ ...Of course, we'll also have to remake our current skin... We could also bring back the old blue skin! ^^ (It'd need a recode, but we could reuse the images, right?) Or even-- goodness knows-- the XD001 skin! Or the Pika-- *shot*

I was thinking about making a new skin that's shiny and green/blue of some sort... But remaking the Pikachu skin would be pretty cool, too. ^^ Either way, the styleswitcher will be very convenient! =D

According to ZB's support forum, they'll be converting everything within 2 weeks, so hopefully our wait will be shorter.

I've been around EVF for too long to not be nostalgic, Krona. ^^ Ahh, back in the day... remember when roleplays were all the rage? ...There was that shadow Pokemon one, and the stuck-in-a-cave one... *sighs wistfully* Still, there's no shaking the fact that EVF now is still a wonderful place. :D And we have Moonlite Chronicles.

We'd better hurry on with the skin then, 'cause the Zeta default skin is horrid. xD

PMF is Pokemon Mutations Factory; it's another forum I'm staff on (albeit lesser staff) and it revolves around spriting. I had an ad for it in my sig for a while. :3

Ooo~~ Interesting. XD Maybe if we can't rush the skin in time, I'll use a free one temporarily. I have another ZetaBoards forum, where Eevee-chan and I are making a Pokemon RPG based on Mystery Dungeon (I make way too many RPs. =_=). I looked at the themes CP and it doesn't seem to be too different from IF's skinning. ^^

ZetaBoards is pure ick. I have no idea why you're gonna convert it (did you already send in the request thinger?)...it's perfectly fine as it is, and the Leafeon skin is indoubtedly better than whatever you'll replace it with...

Why couldn't she remake the leafeon skin on the new forum? o.o

@Illegible: Well, the majority of the vote is going to ZetaBoards, and not everyone can be perfectly pleased... Like IceMasterX said, the Leafeon skin can be redone on ZB. Also, how do you know it's better than whatever else I'd make if I haven't even made another one yet? o_o

What do you have against ZetaBoards? ^^;

While I love the Leafeon skin, I think a change would be very refreshing. We can't always have the same layout, right? =)

Edit: Hey, wait a second... on PMF, HTML isn't allowed in signatures anymore. Kronakitty, do you know if HTML can be turned on for signatures with ZetaBoards? I don't know how to code tables in BBcode, and I love my signature ;_;

You can use HTML. PMF probably has the option turned off. ^^

I'm using ZB for another forum, and you can turn it back on. =3

They said they would be converting all the forums within 2 weeks, but you never know. :/ Apparently some of the servers are going to be converted slower than the others...

Either way, probably (hopefully) sometime within this month. ^^
