Title: HECK!
Shrimpyzilla - March 23, 2008 09:59 AM (GMT)
Seriously, I can't keep this inside anymore. 4Kids kills Anime. It's not for kids. 4Kids deletes cussing, figting, or even that when someone even pokes Kirby. I'm stuffed of them. Why are they doing this? Is EVERYTHING for kids? I don't think so. There must something to be for teenagers, adults, old people, not only for kids! That's why I hate kids, and 4Kids more. I can't stand this, tehy're even going to make Fullmetal Alchemist for kids even! What's the *beep* big idea in making everything for kids?! Sonic X got ruined, Pokémon got ruined, Hamtaro got Ruinder, Kirby got ruined-- Everything thar they show, gets ruined! It's not fair for us anymore! Not even for those who do the Anime, the real spirit has gone out for a run, and never comes back. I'm really going to cry soon beuase of that. I'm sure this aged people would want to see the real Pokémon, understand that it's not childlish in Japan. I've always wanted to live in Japan, because of that! I think tehy're going to do Hentai evem for kids soon. This must be really stopped, no Anime for kids anymore! Cartoons are for kids, NOT ANIME. They're telling "Oh, oh, Hamtaro and Pokémon are cartoons, not Anime" >_> Every Pokémon fan is afraid to tell they like Pokémon, because of that it's made cratoon-like. I even don't want to tell I like Sonic X, or Kirby, because my classmates start laughing and calling me to a kid.
They suck. They ruin our life. They wash our brains. Tyring to make the world "better".
They can't make the world better. No-one can. It's just their dream, that is never going to grand.
Thank you, I've spoken.

I never watch anime from 4kids as a rule. The internet is my domain.
You're right, they crap EVERYTHING up.

Well, if you don't like it, I suggest you move to the Land of the Rising Sun. A litte dilution never hurts...seriously, if cussing is what makes pokémon and whatever other Eastern entertainment good for you, then you're looking in the wrong place. You don't need any remotely mature elements to have it enjoyable. If you need them, then there are plenty of other things you can pursue instead. Pokémon is children's television on both sides of the sea; I doubt I need to lecture on cultural differences to this audience. Sorry, but you gotta deal with where you are. What is suitable for a Japanese kid is not necessarily suitable for an American kid or whatnot. And guess what, you said it yourself. You're a social outcast for liking pokémon. I s'pose we all are. Pokémon is 4Kids; the kids are the ones who buy the cheesy merchandise. It sells to them. I know I have little need for the Dialga plushies bigger than my head that I saw at Target recently. I wouldn't buy that (except in case of a gift). However, the six year-old boy (the girl would more likely pursue the Palkia of equal size) would beg his parents to buy it for him, and then it comes right back to the show. It wil never change, and it does not have to. If you don't enjoy pokémon edited out in some form, then you just don't like pokémon. If you want more seriousness, I know as well as you do that you can find it, as said aove, somewhere on the net. Just look around...

Actually, I've been told that 4kids has stopped dubbing anime. Although I'm not sure, I don't keep up with 4kids myself. Also I highly doubt that 4kids will be dubbing Full Metal Alchemist, because one, it's already been claimed by Adult Swim, and second, I've only watched a few episodes of this anime and I believe that it is extremely graphic to the point of which it cannot be censored for small children without majorly butchering the plot.
And Illegible has a point, it depends on the culture. And there's tons of subtitled anime on youtube and other video hosting sites.
Although I know what you mean, I don't particularly like 4kid's dubbing either :/ But apparently American kids are very easily influenced. But don't let it get you down, there's plenty of good anime that are specifically aimed at teens and adults.

Let me put it this way- I'd rather them (Funimation, 4Kids, etc.) bring badly dubbed anime to the U.S. than none at all. At least you guys who actually have access to the DVD's (I'm not allowed to buy anime- my father hates it) have the option to get the uncut Japanese-language versions of most titles, right?
