Title: Dreams
Cyndaquil201 - February 7, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
There were some other topics about dreams, but they're all dead now so blah, here's a new one. What dreams have you had? Were they weird or not weird? Post them here!
I'm just going to copy and paste my dreams from the other topics.
Once, I had a dream where I was in a cave with three old men because a tyrannosaurus was attacking, and then one of them said something and they all ran out. Then I realized that I could just wake up if I wanted to, so I ran out of the cave, and attempted to open my eyes.
And then I was in my bed, and I heard a weird noise, and my mom said it was time for ballet class. And then I woke up.
Another time, I had a dream where I was online. And I was looking at Eonlight Valley. And, for some reason, Kronakitty had continued Oemm, and put the chapters all out of order so it was really confusing. So I went on the forums to complain, but them I went back to the story page and saw that credit for the first few chapters were given to me, except Kronakitty called me June, then said that I was really =insert real name here= but she didn't want to say who I was. Weird.
And then there was another dream where I was watching a Pokemon movie that someone made with some other people (and the person who made it, since it was on his laptop and he was showing it to us). First there was a prologue-like thing, where Rayquaza was attacking Mew, and brought Mew down to Earth, because apparently Mew could only breathe in space. Then Mew turned to stone.
Then I was in the movie. It was a movie, and I was watching it, but I was in it, too. Not that I was watching myself in the movie, but I was seeing the movie through my dream-movie-self's eyes, but I was still watching the movie from the laptop even though I couldn't see through my dream-self-who-was-watching-the-movie's eyes, and blaghghdgd. Anyways, I was in the movie, with my cousin, and we were in a hotel owned by James of Team Rocket. Someone I was passing said that it was bad if someone stayed in the hotel for a hundred days, but I figured that we would leave before a hundred days were over.
Well, we didn't.
And so Rayquaza attacked, and was killing (or so we thought) everybody with his eyes, since he could kill if he stared at people. And everyone had disappeared and we were the only ones left (James had jumped off the balcony). And we were running away, and then we were in some room, and Rayquaza burst in through the door and stared right at me. Suddenly I felt pain (I always feel things in my dream, but I don't know why), and everything went blank.
Then I was back with all the other people (except James, because he jumped off the balcony), and Rayquaza was still flying around and attempting to attack everyone, but it wasn't working. Then I realized that we were invulnerable to his eye gaze killing/something else attack thing, so then we did something that I forget, and all I remember is that the invulnerability wore off and Rayquaza attackeed us again.
Then I realized that we weren't invulnerable anymore, so we ran and ran and ran to somewhere, where there was stairs leading up to space. So we– wait, no, I, since my cousin somehow vanished in the middle of all the running, ran up it and Ash and either Misty and Brock or May, Max and Brock might have been there and then Mew was there smiling and then something happened and then the movie ended.
And then I said (not the self in the movie, but the other- ah, whatever, I don't want to go through that again) "that was a good movie, let's watch it again" and the whole movie repeated itself.
A while ago, I had a dream that there were tons of fire type Pokemon all swimming to America. Heatran was one of them. I must have had others, but I can't remember them.
Once I had a dream that I was playing my Ruby/Emerald (can't remember which), and I was on an island (possibly Mossdeep city), and I was walking and suddenly I found myself in a battle even though I wasn't in tall grass. A Latios appeared, but it was a special music note Latios or something, and then later I think I found a normal Latios. Also, I was male for some reason.

I can hardly ever remember my dreams, but I remember a few.
The scariest one I've had so far was one I had after we went shopping at a Halloween costume store. I was in the car with my dad and my brother and there was this guy at the side of the road, wearing all black and there was a hood over his head. And he was carrying a scythe(or a chainsaw I forget it was a weapon of some sort). And he was following us O___O; but eventually we lost him.
And one strange thing about my dreams is that whenever Ichimaru Gin is in my dream, he has an unusual occupation of some sort. well it wouldn't be unusual in real life, but it would be some job you definetally wouldn't see him doing. In my first dream with him he was my basketball coach(and i don't even play basketball lol) and he bought us lemonade *thumbs up*. And then in another dream he was a maid, and he was cleaning my room xDD; and then he was a professional skateboarder, and then some others i can't remember.
And he's already a nurse(inside joke). My he has a lot of jobs

You know, maybe we should pin this dream thread. Like you said, Cynda, they keep coming back; why not just pin it, and then we can always post dreams whenever we have an interesting one to share? =D If it's pinned, we wouldn't have to worry about bumping it.
Recently, I was staying overnight at a hotel with some of my teammates for a competition. We had to leave the hotel at 7 in the morning. That night, I had a dream that everything was pushed back until 9:00, so we could all sleep in. Then I woke up from that dream, yet I was still dreaming. In the second dream, I was telling my friend about my dream. She had a laptop on her lap, and after I finished sharing my dream, she began looking for a certain program. We were commenting on how weird the name was.

I use to dream all the time, but in the past three years they only occur (or at least I only remember them) once in about two or three months. Usually they're about people that I know, so I can't really say what happens without including names (most include jokes that only a few people I know would get) and have cryptic meanings to them. However:
I had a weird one a while ago. Still trying to figure out what it means, but I went to a concert for a band called the Sex Pistols, but the whole room was empty except for myself, and a guy who was purchasing something in a canteen at the back of the room. I walked over and stood in line and looked sideways and the hall I was in extended into another room with a lot of people in it. When the guy in front of me left, I saw all these security guards in the canteen, and they kept staring at me so instead of getting something really good I just asked for an icy pole and left. I walked into the room but couldn't find out who's birthday party it was, then I ran and climbed up a ladder because I saw a teacher who speaks really loud and it hurts my ears to converse with her (and by converse I mean her saying something and me nodding my head pretending I'm listening), and ran across to the next room, and then I saw an old friend from school who got me into stuff like the Sex Pistols before he finished school and left to some country town, and he turned around and saw me and waved and then I jumped off the ladder and landed and the Sex Pistols started playing, "God Save The Queen" and then the security guards came out and stood around the room and slowly took steps in until they were so close we couldn't run between them and then the dream ended. Note that the last five and a half lines was all one sentence.

I had this dream the other night. I have no idea where it came from...
Sometimes, my dreams are nothing but a screen, be it my computer monitor of GBC display. In this case, I was surfing the Web fullscreen. I was at SPPf and was made a moderator (hey...my name was mentioned once, and I would have been chosen had my activity not went down...not that I'd want the job or anything). I remember that the skin changed slightly (I use the Ice skin); it got a little greener and the forums became more compact because there were more of them. Then I went to look at what forums I was a mod in. I was an RPG mod -_-. I've never participated in a board RPG before, so if this is my mind's way of giving myself bad jokes...it had better stop =P. I was wndering why I got those forums and looked around some more. I went to PM an e-friend, and it turned out that her account was deleted. The staff forums were interesting. The mods' avies got a lot bigger and their posts were so imposing that I stayed away. I made a topic there complaining about why I was made a mod now, and I woke up before I finished typing it. That was one weird dream...dreaming of posting on a message board xD.

I just had a really weird one last night. I can't remember much of it, but I do remember that the main penguin from Happy Feet was imprisoned in some battleship or something. He escapes, and soon finds his parents and tells them to escape with him. However, they had put on a lot of body fat since they were captured, so they danced to exercise.
And then the scene randomly switched to inside the ship, where a two foot tall man wearing a green cloak was talking to the captain of the ship. That particular green-cloaked guy was apparently called Ichimaru. Don't ask. I've never watched Bleach before, and I don't even know who he is.
Can't remember the ending, but I'm sure it was very strange. ^^;

I used to have dreams every night. Now I never remember my dreams. :<

Warning: I can ramble on about nothing forever...
I had a crazy pair of dreams last night. The first half I faintly remember 'cause it faded out of most of my mind when the second one came, but I'll tell you about it anyways. So I s'pose I became rich and my house grew eght times its size and got dappled marble walls. We had some visitors come over, some girl named Jill and her little brother (Michael, perhaps?). I was being shy and went off to my computer in a corner in a pretty blank room, kinda like the things you see in the old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...a room with little else there. Except this time it was made of dappled marble and not white or nothingness. So Jill and Michael enter while I'm watching something that I apparently wasn't watching on Youtube beause I don't recall watching it =P. They closed the browser and we went elsewhere in the house doing who knows what all day...until we decided to go to the book store. It was actually more of a comic book shop with shelves shorter than my knees, but that's beside the point. What I was hoping I'd remember was the town itself...my dreams tend to fall in the same fantastic locations (after a while...that creeps me out) that have no real-life analogs. In this case, I really only have one image that I remember: it was an urban setting. It could actually be one dream where I was flying acros the city going to someplace...ack, I digress. Anyways, the comic book shop is where the dreams shifted...very graceful transition, that it was.
So now I'm in dream two. Somehow, I end up at a large building that I s'pose was...just a large building, with dining rooms every so often. It turns out that there was a wedding going on that day. Whose wedding? I never found out or asked...maybe it was mine for all I know. What I did know was that I was dressed up and some part of the wedding. Okay. Strangely, characters from both sides of my family were there...how that works out, I'm not sure. Anyways, this dream seemed normal, me wandering around talking to random people, until the first event. My aunt (who had oddly grown 150 more pounds) had been shot. I think I wasn't there at the time of the shooting, but I heard the shot and I recall talking to her briefly prior to. It was not known who did it. I tried hard to let this not bother me such that I ruin whoever's wedding it was. So I went on walking through hallways. I eventually hit a room with bar stools at the back and my second cousin's mother (so is she my second aunt, then? :/). I know she came from me telling my mom the other day that my cousin was going to college out by her. Anyways, trivial point, she said hi and asked the typical questions that more distant family members ask. "How's school?" "Do you like it here?" ...y' know. I asked her what she was doing there. Though she was in the wedding too, apparently she was teaching a class in the next room over and was just wrapping up preparing the lesson. I figured it woud be unwise to bother her then, so I said a brief goodbye and walked out the southern door, the way I had came in. I must have walked through a circular hallway because I ended up back in the room before the one with the bar stools. This time, however, many recognisable family members were present. They were all standing by the door to the west, which led to the lecture hall room (a big rume evidently). Nobody was in there...nobody living, anyways. Some uncle who I forgot turned around and gravely told me that she had been murdered. I took this REALLY hard because I had JUST been talking to her what could not have been ten minutes prior to. Had I stuck around, things may have been different. The family members all peeked their heads in the other room to see her, and...the expressions on their faces were worse than anything I've seen in real life. Recalling them brings tears to my eyes as I type this. Apparently, she was very gruesomely murdered. I remember this had such a strong psychological effect on me that I chose not to look, especially since the sight would have been terrible. I imagine she was disformed and the floor was wet. SHe hadn't been shot. So if there was a common killer somewhere in the wedding, s/he was clearly trying to change up the murder methods such that nobody could predict what was coming next (and because gun shots are audible...maybe the killer knew that I wasn't far off). Thus the dream had became an And Then There Were None-esque thingy. Someone there was killing off others in the wedding. For what purpose? I never found out. But, anyways, that scene there was horrible. You get that. It picks up after that. A third person dies. I knew in the dream who it was and how, but I've since forgotten. It wasn't as memorable as the first two. The fourth was shortly after...I never got much info on the fourth except that it happened; I never even knew who it was. I was wandering around, worrying about my impending death unless we figured out who the killer was. I entered a room with a table in the center and elaborate decorations around...maybe some wedding gifts. There were two others in the room. Some distant cousin who was a little younger than me and a burly man with an orange buzz cut were there. I had not yet seen the cousin yet, though I had seen the man a few times already. He seemed jovial and happy for whoever it was was getting wed. Semeed is the key word there. Well, thankfully neither of those two people actually exist. The man pulled out of his tux a pistol and evidently shot at the cousin as I darted out of the room. The next room over looked like a sanctuary or something. But the details matered not to me. My mom was idly standing around holding my brother, and my dad was doing something on the table...not important enough for me to have taken note of. I was yelling at them that I knew who the killer was and that he could have been coming this way. We all rushed out the northern exit into an elongated hallway. My parents and brother went right, and I went left. I passed, to my left, the room where the man was at when he revealed himself. I chose to turn left into safety in the next room to my left. Well duh, it's the one to the west of the one where my distant cousin may have been shot, two rooms down from where my parents had been (get the layout?). I stop running as I'm staring up at the barrel of a pistol. You don't have to actually have someone aim a gun at you in real life to know what it feels like to some degree...let it happen in a dream (then you don't risk anything). My heart was pounding fast...that's a given. Now we did have a short exchange there. I cranked out the first words with something akin to the "So it was you!" (just a little more like I would actually say it). He said something back to me, and, after that, I'm not sure what happens. It's like when something happens to you so fast, in ten seconds, say, and you have a hard time recalling the details because it all happeend in such short time. All I remember is that seemingly bottomless black hole at the end of his hand...and then shaking and sitting up in my bed. There went one of my nine lives. I am so incredibly glad that it was sunny out when I woke up (I beat my alarm by less than ten minutes) because otherwise it would have been a chore to get back asleep. That dream was so vivid and so emotional that it messed me up the rest of the morning. Thankfully, it left me for the rest of the day at some point. That dream was so frightening; I hope I never have to go through it ever again, in a dream or otherwise. If I did not do it justice in that lengthy paragraph, then oh well. I couldn't have written it down at the time...but, then again, I should have. You know, if you wrote your dreams down for a year, you'd have enough to easily make a book out of. I may try that sometime...sorry for taking up so much space ><...
Shadow - March 20, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
Wow... that's a pretty crazy dream. =O I usually never actually feel emotions in my dreams, at least none that are too extreme. Happiness, sadness, worry, it's all blurred for me. And I've never felt pain in a dream. Perhaps I'm so lacking of feeling because I can't really remember that I did feel it. xD
The only dream that I can remember significantly feeling an emotion was in a semi-recent one, where apparently something had happened to the person I like, and everyone was giving up hope that he would be okay and planning funerals and such, and I seemed to be the only one that actually was being hopeful, and I remember feeling this sort of heart-wrenching sadness and anger at everyone. But I don't really remember.

Has any of you ever had a lucid dream? I almost never get those. I can wake myself up from a dream sometimes, but it's usually difficult.
Just last night I had a dream where I was running through a maze or something, and someone was chasing me. I was thinking "why am I running so slowly, I can totally run faster than this". Then I realized that this would end up being a really bad nightmare if I stayed asleep, so I went "ohcrap" and woke up.
Speaking of nightmares... I once had one where some scientists created a thing that looked sort of like a snail that lived in water. Then the threw it in the ocean. Then it grew to be a mile tall and went up to the surface and was going to release a poison gas that was going to KILL EVERYONE AAAAH
Then I woke up. Right as they were making their plans to stop the gas from spreading (for some reason, no one actually tried to kill it).
IceMasterX - March 21, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
I wish I would have lucid dreams. They seem so fun! It would be really kool. xD
I have dreams a lot but usually I don't concentrate enough while I still remember them clearly to remember them to tell. I do, however, have a dream every now and then that I remember clearly enough to tell. Maybe I'll say one later. =3
Shadow - March 21, 2008 03:24 PM (GMT)
I realized I was dreaming exactly once. That counts as a lucid dream, right? I often have dreams where I know I'm late to a class or something, but I have to do a lot before I go there, like stop at my locker, put stuff away, walk through the school, etc. And it was a dream like that where I realized I was dreaming.
