So, has anyone ever encountered any Shiny Pokemon, on any of their games? =D The only shiny that I've seen is the Red Gyarados. =O What about you guys?

Me too. xD I have the worst shiny-luck ever. Never before have I even seen a shiny. Actually, I have seen a couple in the battle towers in both Emerald and Firered, but those are all predetermined and therefore not really counting.

I want a shiny Plusle. :<

I would say I want a shiny Xatu and Absol, but... they're really only neon-ish, and I'd rather have a prettier shiny, like... well, I can't think of a neat one right off the top of my head. xD

You know, one thing I liked about Ash's shiny Noctowl (ooh, there's one! I want a shiny Noctowl! =D) was that it wasn't just a different color; it was smaller than normal Noctowl. It made it more unique. ^^

I've seen one in Ruby, two in Gold and that's it. I have no luck otherwise. The one in Ruby is a vital member of my overall team - a shiny Mightyena. The other two in Gold? One Ratata and one Gyarados. I faintly remember catching one in LeafGreen, though. A Diglett.

I have two shinies. :D

It was the first or second Pokemon I caught in my Ruby game. ^_^

Corsola.

After chaining for hours and hours on end, I caught a shiny Corsola in Diamond. At, like, 11:30 at night. I probably should've been sleeping. >.>

I forget what I have. I know for sure that I have at least a shiny Machoke and a shiny Floatzel, one in FireRed and one in Diamond, plus one hacked Latias. Plus red Gyarados.

My sister, however, and a shiny Electrode, a shiny Flygon, and a shiny Spinda. And maybe one other. She is so lucky.

Besides the infamous red gyrados, I have but one shiny pokemon, which is a shiny Luxio in Pokemon diamond. You guys will not even begin to understand the happiness i felt when I first encountered him :'D I love him to this very day.

I haven't as much luck as some of my friends.....

I encountered a shiny whismur in my emerald, but ran away accidentaly.

Then At the battle frointeir, i caught a shiny smeargle with adamant nature.

I found a nice pereson at another forum who gave me a cyndaquil. It hatched shiny, and he gave it to me anyways for the same deal.

The i gave away my vepisquen to the same guy, to get a shiny swampert! I love shiny swampert.


As for everything else, i have tried chaining and SRing, but neither came out very well

My goal is to get a shiny ponyta, but my chain keeps on breaking. I can only get to about 10.

I haven't had any luck on shiny rotom either :(

And i have always dremed about having a shiny wailord, giritina, and torterra :(

Yeah, one of my friends has like 20 shinies. I really wonder how he does it :(

Clefable-Odd Egg ftw (or whatever it was called). Actually, it took me a long time to acknowledge that it was shiny because the difference is so subtle...but yeah, Moon Fairy is a nice battler...
Noctowl-I was searching for Raikou outide of New Bark. I saw this Hoothoot that had the 'shiny bling', which I, f course, did not know what to make of except that my guide book had talked about rumoured 'Specially Colored Pkmn' xD. So I obviously caught and trained it. I remember it was snowing and my friend and I were doing something in my yard when I was telling him my dilema: I was afraid that evolution would rid the colour from my beautiful bright pkmn. Nopperdoodles. Flight the Noctowl is a milestone in my pk-gaming...

Emerald:
Altaria-so I like totally caught shiny hunting fever from SPPf. So I thought the yellow would be awesome, so I searched constantly on the route otside of Meteor Falls for a long time (my sister looked for a Spheal she never found). The Three Stooges were going on in the background. Yeup, I found it. So I ridiculously stood up, cheered, and got myself on the wall so my battery wouldn't die on me while I was catching her xD...Sunny is NOT a battler. All she does is cart me around. In fact, she only goesin the PC when I go to the BF...
Clamperl/Huntail/Gorebyss-my sister's friends caught shiny hunting fever, too. First, my sister's friend thought she found a shiny Heracross. She didn't. However, her little brother found a shiny Clamperl and caught it. I didn't beleive it. They tried describing it (oh, it was hilarious...they called us once and told us that they found a shiny, blue Shellos xD...), and when they metioned I think yellow, I just had to see it. So he shows me and I'm all in awe and begin plotting how to get it xD. I persisted hard, but the little kid would not get rid of his biggest bargaining chip without me forking over Sunny. Nah...enter the cloning glitch. I was the only Emerald-user, so I proposed that if I cloned it, we could distribute the Clamperl to all four of us and in all of its forms. They didn't exactly trust me 100%, but after some trading work, I managed to get all four of us a 'Clampy' or three (I named it before sending it over to myself for cloning xD). I still have mebe a half a box full of Clampies. The better of my two Gorebyss Clampies I'm training...

I feel like I'm missing one :S...oh well...

Well, I have one shiny, a Seel. This was a some time ago when I was running around that one ice cave for no apparent reason, when I suddenly came across a Seel.

Except, well, my brain wasn't on, and so at first it looked like any other Seel. But, as I was waiting for the Seel to stop making its cry so I could run, I saw that sparkly thing. And then I caught it, found out it was a shiny, and that's that.

But that's not all. So, like any other kid that got her first shiny, I was all like, "OMG! Let's go train it and then it will be my best pokemon evah!!!"

Except I had happened to get possibly the worst IVed shiny in the history of ever. I tell you, my Lv.15s can beat that Lv.30! *sigh* So it's just for showing off. And my friend needn't know about its battling abilities, just that it's shiny.. >D

But, anyway, I'd like a Shiny Latias or a Shiny Umbreon at Lv.1 so I could train them up. For now, I just got a Lv.100 Shiny Umbreon off of one of my friends that supposedly says it's legit, but I'm not sure about that.

I'm pretty good at chaining shinies so I have quite a few of them.
My most prized are my shiny Umbreon, my shiny Garchomp, and my shiny Electivire

Hmm. What is chaining, anyway? *doesn't have DP and therefore doesn't have a clue* I'm envious of everyone's shiny catching skill/luck. =3

Chaining is when you use a thing called a pokeradar to find the same kind of pokemon many times in a row and when you get really high you have a bigger chance of finding a shiny.

I know this is not a shiny trade thread, but i really need a shiny ponyta!! No weak natures, and not hacked! I am really strict with this, even though i doubt anyone has a shiny ponyta that they will trade.

I know alot of people who won't settle for natures that aren't good enough. Some natures can make a pokemon so bad that it can be beat extremely easy, and they can have very low stats.

I'm only looking for a decent nature, i won't trade for bad natures, but i will still catch a shiny for collecting needs.

But you see, shinies are hard to get anyway. I think you should settle for any shiny ponta, even if it has bad stats. Because the odds that anyone would even find a shiny ponyta in the first place is very low, so think about finding a shiny ponyta with good stats.

What IMX is saying is that no one would want to search for a shiny ponyta for you if your standards are so high. They'd rather settle for someone who wants any kind of shiny with good stats, or someone wanting a specific type of pokemon with no preference on stats. See what we mean?

Yeah, my standards are so high, bla bla bla. Theres people who won't settle unless they have the pokemon exactly how they wanted it. Don't get me wrong, i just don't want to be totally smahed into pieces when i battle one of my friends who EV raises and has perfect natures. I collect, but i prefer to battle with my shinies.


You don't know how many people search for shinies with good natures. Try serebii.net, they are all Effort value crazy over there. (generally speaking)

Having a shiny is more about the experience than the strength. Any shiny pokemon will still be pretty strong if you EV Train it anyway. =/

I haven't thought about what i could give. I'd have to make it special, but nope. i won't be trading with anyone here right now. I'm far to lazy to get my diamond, and there is no chance of getting it anyway.

You are wrong shadow. You must not know how much the nature counts in EV raising. Just ask my friend, He is the EV expert. I don't care if you think otherwise, because i know what i am talking about. People are crazy over natures. And to me, asking for a decent nature is a whole lot better than looking for one certain nature. I'm outta this thread!

You mean IMX? Shadow hasn't posted in this thread recently. And believe me, I know how important natures are- it can make a big difference. The thing is, you shouldn't be as strict with shinies since they are so rare, and unless it has a horrible nature, it can be trained to be pretty strong if you EV train it in the right way. ^^

And I'm just as much an EV expert as anyone, so not many people are particularly better than me becuz there is sort of just a point you can get to in the knowledge of how to EV train. >>
