Title: GSC Remake

Cyndaquil201 - September 1, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
After there was a remake of Red and Blue, lots of fans have been waiting for one of Gold, Silver and Crystal. And with all the hints Nintendo dropped in Diamond and Pearl, I'm pretty sure they will.

If you're wondering about what hints they dropped, I've noticed a few people mentioning Johto or someone in Johto or something about Johto or whatever.

1. The guy who gives you the Happiny egg mentions Johto. I can't remember exactly what he said, though.
2. The fifth (I think) gym leader of GSC is in the game and gives you Waterfall. I can't remember her name, but she was there.

There were definitely some others, but I can't remember them. I can't really remember things today.

I have a few reasons on why they've taken such a long time to make it. One, they have to boost the graphics up to DP level, instead of just RSE level like Firered and Leafgreen. Two, they have two regions to revamp, unless they decide to not include Kanto (which they better not do). Three, they probably have to include WiFi so that it won't seem any worse than DP.

That's my theory, of course. Then might not be true. They might just not make it. Or they might make the remake and somehow make Pokemon Pinball a major part of the game. Who knows.

A remake would be wonderful. I've always thought of the second generation being the best. And Jasmine is the sixth gym leader of Johto.

Love that idea. :D But to be perfectly honest, when it comes to a remake, I'd have to say no. It wasn't much different than any of the other Pokemon games, really. Just Team Rocket (again), a startlingly underpowered E4, easy, automatic shinies (think how common shiny Gyarados would become!) and a lot of things that just plain wouldn't work.

If you ask me, I'd rather have a nice new region to explore, without any new Pokemon. Or an old region, with an advanced plot. But no GSC remake. Sorry.

I want a G/S/C Remake so badly! Most if not all of my favorite Pokemon come from Johto! Sure they could add some more things, but I really want Nintendo to make them.

Yes, yes, yes! I REALLY want a remake. My first game was Silver and I've played both it and Gold a million times. It would make me extremely happy if they did! I would love to revisit Johto with new D/P graphics! It would be so awesome, because I could remake my Gold team in the new GS DS games and trade them over to D/P or I could trade my D/P Pokemon over to the remakes.

But I don't think they will. You can already get most of the Pokemon from D/P and R/S/E/FR/LG. There's really no practical reason for them to make it. Hopefully though, they'll hear out pleas of Pokemon fans and make these remakes that many people like myself desire. I would much rather have a G/S/C remake than a new generation.

Pokemon lose health if you hit your Pokemon into them, and if you drop either yours or your opponent's Pokemon, you lose one life. Losing all your lives makes all your Pokemon faint. If all your Pokemon faint without you losing a life, you don't lose a life, but you still lose the battle. Be careful of Swinub, because it can freeze your Pokemon if you're not careful. But it's worth it if you catch it so that you can use it against your opponents.

I agree that GSC wasn't very original. Kanto wasn't interesting, there would be a problem with shiny Gyarados, the elite four was ridiculously easy, pretty much everything you said. However, I want a remake most of all because of both the Pokemon and the region itself. I mostly played the game just to explode all the different areas, especially the caves. I liked DP, but I think it would have been more interesting if there had been something other than just cool items in every cave, like a rare Pokemon deep within Mount Coronet. Or something like that.

So if they just made a game with the Johto region, as long as they kept the routes the same and the hidden things in the caves, I would be happy (even if they really did make Pokemon Pinball a major part of the game).

Honestly I'd love a remake. Crystal was my favorite version. THey could extend the the levels of the johto though add create a new basic pokedex to start with. I really miss visiting two regions...

Me too....*sigh* I guess that was the past though....The pokemon people probably don't care that much about what we think will get them rich.....xP Really though....If they made a G/S/C remake, everyone would die for it....XD
