I'm just wondering, why do the topics get removed from the page after thirty days? I know you can just go down to the bottom and change the settings around so you can view all of the topics, but it'd be a lot more convenient the other way. Is there a reason for this?
First of all, it's just InvisionFree's default option. I can change it, though. The only reason it's like that for most boards is because generally, if a topic hasn't been replied in for over 30 days, it's pretty much considered "dead".
If you reply in one, though, it goes back to the main page again, I think. o.O; Let's see what others think about it.
Edit:
Anyways, I changed them so they get cut off every 60 days... I hope that'll be better. XD
I've noticede that but you can scroll to see all of them. Even if they are "Dead" it's considered bumping to write in it...so you can only post in the active topic.
I've read through a few more threads. A few people have got in trouble for bumping from Zephyr, although I'm not sure whether its for bumping with irrelevant input or just bumping. I didn't see a rule for it, so I just hope I am not doing anything wrong.
If you changed the default cut off date then I guess it's okay. Just seems to fit together, but I'll wait and see.
Nevermind, I can see that this is not going to work out, since I saw a topic bumped when it hasn't been updated in since December 2006. xD; From now on bumping topics older than 30 days isn't allowed, except for specific forums like clubs/guilds, etc.
If you think a forum has too little topics, feel free to make new ones. ^^
