Title: A C-box!

Everybody likes c-box's. It's no doubt the most popular thing on
my forums. You could just use the same one as on EV. If you think it would take up too much room, you could make a link to it from the forums to make it come up as a pop-up. It's so much easier to talk in a c-box then PMing everybody the same thing!

Heh, that's a pretty good idea. But I'd say only if it's a pop-up. C-boxes that are on every page mess up with some browsers and cause the forum to lag.
It's up to Kronakitty. I like the idea. ^^

Um, yeah, cboxes on every page are horrible. That is really only if you put it in the header or directly in the CSS. I do not support popups or URLs to them, though.
The way that I have found works best is make a cbox forum masked to members only (so I assume Admin+Member masks) (to keep guests out of it) and put the cbox code in the forum description of that forum. Go to Furret Funhouse if you need an example of this. That would mean that is only appears on the index, and that should not really cause any lagging...
EDIT: Just holler if you need that in simpler terms....

Hmm... I'm not sure. Cboxes are nice, but I've kinda always thought that if you have a forum, there's no real need for a Cbox. But, it doesn't really matter either way to me, so...

I don't mean on every page. Just on the main page.

That is what I said, if you read my post...
I do know another option, Kronakitty: You could again make a cbox forum, but put the cbox code in the forum ruleso that it solely appears in the "header" of that forum. The cbox forum with the forum description works best, though...

Um, thanks for all the suggestions, but I think I'm experienced enough to figure out how to get a simple Cbox code onto the forum. ^^;
And, I don't quite feel like getting one at the moment, as there is a Cbox on the main site already, and a forum is really a socializing place, I don't see a point in having the Cbox.
Why have one when you can use messengers? Why not start a group chat? XD Or just have two tabs open and chat on the Cbox on the main site....
But I MIGHT change my mind. ^-^;;
