Title: Kaiser's Journey

Kaiser - February 19, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
I jumped from one tree branch to the next with my partner not too far behind. I'm Ryou and my partner is Treecko. I grabbed onto the next brach and swung off, landing into the center of my home town. I looked back to see if Treecko was behind. As I stood up, something landed on my. I laughed as Treecko slid down. "Looks like I beat you this time!"

Kronakitty - February 19, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
Laughing and having fun, you didn't notice one of the town elders approach.

"Hey, aren't you a new trainer? What're you doing, messing around like that? D< " the old man says.

Before the man could take a step toward you, a large Spearow drops down from the trees! Would you like to battle the Spearow, or run? Remember, Spearow has a type advantage against Treecko!

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
I grinned. "Alright, Treecko. Lets show these old geezers how all our 'messing around' pays off! Treecko, use Pound!"

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)
Treecko leaps forward and uses Pound! The Spearow launches a Tackle attack.

Pound - Damage: 4 HP, Accuracy 100
Tackle - Damage: 4 HP, Accuracy 95

Treecko: 16/20
Spearow lv3 10/14

Both sides have hit! =O

Old Man: "....Good luck, kid!"

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 12:24 AM (GMT)
(just wondering, do I have Pokeballs, or is that later?)

"Alright Treecko, use another Pound!"

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
(Eh, I dunno. o.o I guess you'll have to buy them at the Kiti Woods PokeMart. =X)

Treecko uses another Pound attack. It crashes down onto the Spearow, sending it plummeting at the earth.

Spearow counters with a Sand Attack, shrouding itself in sand and dust.

Treecko: 16/20 HP (accuracy lowered 20%)
Spearow: 6/14 HP

The old man, standing nearby, coughs.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 12:37 AM (GMT)
"Alright, Treecko, try Leer, then use another Pound!" I yelled.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
Treecko used Leer, its eyes glinting through the smoke. Even more frightened, Spearow hid behind the smoke, unaware until Pound hit it harddd.

Treecko: 16/20 HP
Spearow: 0/14 HP

The winner is Treecko! =O You have gained 20 exp.! You need 25 more exp. to move to level 6!

Old Man: *clapclap* "Hm...I guess you weren't so bad after all, youngster. You're definitely ready for your adventure. Buuut! My grandson's way better than you, teehee! Look, here he comes!"

A tall boy with a large red hat walks by, a Totodile at his heels.

You can battle him, not battle him, walk away, or completely ignore him and walk away, or walk away without battling him, or shake hands and make friends, or make friends and walk away, or make friends and battle, or *blabs on and on* =X

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 12:57 AM (GMT)
I watched the boy pass then laughed lightly as Treecko climbed onto my shoulder. I shook my head and headed home.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
The boy seemed slightly offended, and so did the old man, but you'd left before they could speak another word.

At home, your father greeted you with a hearty welcome. "Hey there, Ryou. Why are you still here? Shouldn't you be leaving on your journey? Do you need anything?"

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
"Beside more cash? Nothing really. Just stopped by to get Treecko's Pokeball." I said.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
Your dad sighed. "Didn't I already give you $500?" he asked disdainfully. "Well... I suppose a few more wouldn't hurt. -__- "

You now have $600, $100 gained from your father. =3

Your dad then gave you Treecko's PokeBall.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
I smirked. "Thanks, dad." I tucked the Pokeball in my pocket and waved back to my dad. "See you... whenever." and I left the house.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
Your mother walked into the room as you closed the door. She gave your father one glance and rolled her eyes.

If you are done here, feel free to move on to Kiti Woods. ^^ If you are not, feel free to continue whatever action you wish.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
"Alright!" I yelled. Treecko hopped onto my shoulder again. "Finally! We can begin this!" I looked at the shop for a moment. "Well, I guess if we're to get more Pokemon, we should get some Pokeballs at the store."

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
"How many items would you like?" the store manager asks.

You have $600 to spend.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
"Just need some Pokeballs. Five of them if you have 'em."

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
That cost you $250 PD! =O
You now have $350. =3

Your items:
PokeBall (5)

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
I handed him the money and put the five Pokeballs onto my belt and left the store, eager to use one of them.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
You walk into Kiri Woods.

The air is still and quiet, and Treecko sniffs the leaf-fresh air. You hear rustling in the leaves! There must be wild Pokemon nearby, or perhaps a trainer...

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
I looked at Treecko and grinned. We jumped into the trees in seconds, like we used to back home, and waited silently.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
You see a trainer trying to catch some wild Pokemon. The trainer is a red-headed boy, with a Cyndaquil at his side. It seems he's having trouble catching the wild Pokemon... he's certainly not putting Cyndaquil's attacks to good use...

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
"That kid needs that Pokemon if his Cyndaquil isn't helping," I said. I jumped to the next branch, deciding not to get involved, and whistled to call Treecko over.

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
"Dang it!" the red-headed kid wailed as he watched the wild Pokemon run away. "It's all YOUR fault, Cyndaquil!"

The Cyndaquil flinches, apparently hurt by his trainer's words. Then the little Pokemon looks up and sees you and Treecko.

The boy notices you, too, and says rudely, "Who the heck are YOU?! D< " Obviously he's still mad the wild Pokemon ran away. v_v

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 02:32 AM (GMT)
Treecko and I dropped down from the trees and I said, "A trainer, like you. You should treat Cyndaquil better. He tried its hardest."

Shadow - February 20, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
The boy glares at you as you come out from the trees. "What would you know about raising a Pokemon?" he cried.

The Cyndaquil cautiously approaches your Treecko. Talking in Pokemon languages, Cyndaquil offers a shy greeting to Treecko.

The red-headed kid continues to glare at you. "This Cyndaquil's useless!" he shouted.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 02:54 AM (GMT)
"I know more then you know. Me and Treecko are more then partners. We're brothers." I walked up to the Cyndaquil and examined it.

Shadow - February 20, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
The Cyndaquil butted your hand playfully with his head. "Cynda!" he called to you in greeting.

The boy scoffed. "How can you be brothers with a Treecko?" he sneered. "Get away from my Cyndaquil!" Running between you and the little Pokemon, he roughly shoved Cyndaquil back. Cyndaquil glanced fearfully at his trainer, then sent a hopeful glance up at you.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
"Well maybe if you bonded with your Pokemon, maybe it won't be so afraid," I said. Treecko jumped back onto my shoulder and grinned.

Shadow - February 20, 2007 03:11 AM (GMT)
The boy scoffed at you and your Treecko once more, but uncertainty was clear on all his features. He glanced at his Cyndaquil. "But this Pokemon can't even battle! How am I supposed to bond to it?" he wailed. He tried to mantain an angry face as he looked at you.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 03:15 AM (GMT)
"By training it," I said. "Find something the two of you like, like me and Treecko climb trees a lot. That's why he's so quick."

Shadow - February 20, 2007 03:18 AM (GMT)
The boy clearly didn't want to give in, but his face revealed he was extremely uncertain. A good amount of persuasion could probably make him give in to you.

"But... my Cyndaquil doesn't like anything I like," he defended weakly. He cast uncertain glances around him, first at Cyndaquil, then at Treecko, then at you. "Does he?" he added.

Kaiser - February 20, 2007 03:22 AM (GMT)
"Beats me. That's what you have to find out on your own. It kind of happened when I first met Treecko. We just started racing through the forests around Morningleaf."

Kronakitty - February 20, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
The boy scowled. "I always thought of Pokemon as pets, not...not...FAMILY." He looked back at his Cyndaquil, and a hint of gentleness seemed to appear in his eyes for a split second.

A short silence followed after, and the boy asked, "Do you think there's anyway you can help me...um...'bond' with this Cyndaquil...?"

Kaiser - February 21, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
"Sure," I said. I looked down at Cyndaquil, then at Treecko. "Start with this." I bent down and Treecko climbed onto my shoulder. "Now you try. You have to be sure your Pokemon trusts you before standing up."

Kronakitty - February 21, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
The boy hesitated for a moment, and slowly lowered his arm toward the ground. Cyndaquil blinked, a little tense, and tried to grasp onto him.

"AH!" the boy cried as soon as Cyndaquil touched him. "This freaking thing is hot AND heavy!"

Cyndaquil backed off, and the boy looked like he was at a loss. "Climb onto my shoulder already!" he insisted.

Kaiser - February 21, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
"You gotta be patient!" I yelled. "But don't worry. It takes time to get used to it."

Kronakitty - February 21, 2007 12:23 AM (GMT)
The boy tried several times and finally managed to get Cyndaquil on his shoulder without any complaining or troubles.

"Wow..." he breathed. "I've never been this close to a Pokemon before... It... feels great. =O "

Cyndaquil looks happy, too.

Kaiser - February 21, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT)
(do you think you can delete the double post?)
I smiled at the sight. "Keep it up. Just don't try it when it evolves."

Kronakitty - February 21, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
(er...I don't see a double-post. o.o)

The boy smiled, too. He seems a lot friendlier. "Hey, my name's Larch," he said. "Thanks for helping me with Cyndaquil. Now I just want to train it to use good attacks. Think you can help by battling us?"
