Seth sat by the river, his Piplup splashing around in the water. Piplup swam up, splashed Seth, then pulled his shoe. "Come on, Piplup. I already went swimming with you, remember?" Seth said, half-smiling. Piplup looked up at Seth with sad eyes. "Come on, don't play that gag again..." He said, rolling his eyes. Piplup's face had a look that showed it's shock at Seth's realization. "Piplup, you already used that look today, remember? That's the whole reason we're here. Let's go. We should go back to town. We're starting our journey soon, remember?" Seth said, standing up.

Piplup still seemed reluctant to leave, but jumped out of the water nonetheless, making sure he splashed Seth. He then darted down the road toward the Pokemon lab, hoping Seth will play a final game of tag on the way.

"Piplup! Pip!"
