So, in this contest, you enter a sprite matching the theme, and your sprite will be judged against everyone else's sprites. Once the sprites are in, voting will be opened. The sprite that receives the most votes is the winner!

Voting System
To vote for a sprite, you must send a PM to me. With it, please include the sprite number that you are voting for, and also include a reason why you're voting for it. Reasons such as "It's perfect" or "It's the best sprite" are not acceptable. Comment on the spriting style, or the shading, or the creativity. You can't vote for your own sprite, either. ^_~

Salamence/Flygon fusion.

Well, I'll take this opportunity to try out my splicing, since I haven't sprited at all in ages and think I rather suck at it. But still. I'll be working on it, but I don't have any of my old ones on this computer, so just sit tight and I'll hopefully have one soon, though it'll probably be rather sucky.

EDIT: I got back to the older computer and was going to make a Torchic/Chatot sprite, but then it just ended up as a Chatot looking very much like a Torchic. So I spiffied up this sprite, my Skarmoree. Funny that one of the other entries also has Skarmory in it.



Most of it is scratched, other than the shape of the head, the ears, and the fluffy neck ruff.

Eh, the limit's up, but I made a sprite specially for this contest. Really it's the first mix I've made in ages, so I made it to prove to myself that I am capable of mixing anything at all.

Hmm. I think the voting might just be open to anybody, and anybody can vote for any sprite. So you could vote for your own if you wanted to, I guess. It would be simpler that way, I think. Any other opinions?

It's fairer if people can only vote for entries other tham their own, because what if everyone voted for their own entry? It'd be kinda lame. |D

Umm... so that people couldn't vote twice or for their own sprite, how bout this:
It's an in-topic vote. Everybody who entered has to vote, but anybody who didn't can. People who entered can't vote for their own sprite. We count the score manually?

The problem with a poll is: I could vote once on this computer, then go down to my wii and do it again. (Not that I will) cus I think polls are based on what computer your on... though it might be based on account. idk.

I'm pretty sure it's based on the account. =O Well, the manual way will be too confusing and ya, a lot of work. The decision rests on Shadow, though. =X The poll could I dunno, be temporary? XD *shot*

Kronakitty, I think you're right with the account thing. I guess I'm fine with it like this. Doing it manually would be the cheat-proof way to do it, but it would definitely be a pain, and I don't think we would get as many votes. If it were me, I would rather just click an option in a poll than write and send a PM to someone with the vote.

^^; With this poll, it's really just the honors system. So, people that were going to vote for their own sprite, know that a weight of guilt for breaking the rules will rest on you for the rest of your life! =O

Perhaps for the next contest, we could try it the other way, with the PM votes, and see which way works better? Then maybe we could decide on a final way to do it.
