Chapter 1 : Unseen Dangers

Esquaza lay in her cave, and gazed out of the gaping entrance, staring out at the darkening blue sky. She sighed, and rolled over, her green-furred back to the entrance. She was normally a cheerful pokémon, but today she was feeling depressed, and didn’t have a clue why. All she could think was Why me…?
Quartz stared at the swirling energies, and grinned. “ This is perfect. We can get rid of my sister and help Him at the same time… How long have I waited to get rid of her…? And now It’s finally happening… “ He closed his green eyes and bowed his orange head, smiling. Then he looked up at the purple cat-like pokémon standing off to one side, rustling her wings uncomfortably. “ Vein! “ He barked at her. “ Take the orb outside and make the necessary preparations to waken Him! “ The espeon nodded, and stepped forwards, wrapping her paws around the orb gently and lifting it from where it lay…
Vein narrowed her eyes as the orange umbreon bowed his head, and nodded as he told her what to do. She hurried forwards, and picked up the orb, then turned and padded outside carefully. She stood upon a mountain ledge now, beneath a deep blue sky. Nightfall approaches… She thought, glancing up.
