Title: PS3, Xbox360 or Wii?
Description: It had to come up sometime...

Satoshi - June 13, 2007 12:39 AM (GMT)
Which of these new generation console systems do you prefer and why?

I prefer the Wii because I just generally like Nintendo more. I have Xbox360 and the Wii, but I don't really like shooter games (other than Rainbow Six Vegas) so I don't play the 360 awesome. I prefer the 'cool' and fun games Nintendo comes out with.

Don't even get me started on how much I despise Sony. They don't stick to a certain genre of games which sort of annoys me because alot of their small titles are random Japanese crap. Plus, they are WAY to pricey and greedy.

So which console do you prefer?

The Wii. Though I don't like hate the name, I'd rather have it then other systems. I played it at my friend's house, it took me a while to get used to the wiimote, but it was fun.
I played Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Undecided between the Wii and the PS3, but probably the Wii, followed by the PS3. Mainly 'cause PS3 is ultimately gonna end up sporting the new Ace Combat. =D

IceMasterX - June 16, 2007 04:46 AM (GMT)
I really don't know much about any of them, but I guess I'll say wii. I will be getting one as soon as I can find a place with them in stock.

Is there really any question? The Wii dominates all and revolutionizes the gaminng world. It's brilliant. And it's Nintendo, which makes it superawesome. x3

PS3 might be good too, though, because it has a range of games that you can't get for Nintendo consoles, such as Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Okami.

Pointy - June 16, 2007 02:35 PM (GMT)
I have neither of those consoles nor have I played them, but I would probably prefer the Wii. It looks like so much fun, I want one o^o

And I heard they might make an Okami game for the Wii xD people keep saying how perfect Okami would be for the Wii. Although I kinda hope they don't make it for the Wii, because Okami is my favorite game ever, and the chances of me getting a wii are rather slim v_v

Rapiido - June 16, 2007 02:36 PM (GMT)
WII. Cause ya know it's frickin awesome and I've only played it once but WHO CARES TT. I've never played the PS3 or X-Box 360.. >> << But next would be PS cause I like the DDR games, Kingdom Hearts and another one or two.. but still sorta "Teen and under" games. X-Box... ehh.. I liked the one party game I played at my friend's house. =3 But there was no shooting or killing or sports or car racing or anything in it. xD

Arrow - June 16, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
No way I'm getting an X360 though. Microsloth owns enough of my computer as it is. o.o

Kiri - June 16, 2007 07:01 PM (GMT)
I dunno... they all don't appeal to me much (I was fighting the urge to say "suck" 8O). But then again, it's not as if I've played any... I'd probably prefer the Wii, as it has a unique style of gameplay, but I dunno.

IceMasterX - June 16, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
I actually have played an X-Box 360, but. . .I'm not going to get one. I'm prejudiced for Nintendo.

Dark Allie - July 13, 2007 08:22 PM (GMT)
I would have the Wii, cuz I like the make the person, thing, etc move the way want it to move. i have never played it though, and i have never played the rest of the games. i have only played the XBOX 360 at walmart qand it was only for like 5 seconds or something...

Kronakitty - July 13, 2007 10:34 PM (GMT)
Ehh Wii all the way. The Wii is MOTION-SENSING, and it has a cute name, *cough*. That gives it like, loads more points. XD Its graphics may not be as good as the PS3, but come on. Has that really stopped the Gameboy players? X3

I actually did get a wii like, 3 weeks ago. . .

Twilight Dragon - June 5, 2008 01:26 AM (GMT)
Wii, definitely, even if I'm not worthy enough to even touch one of them xD Twilight Princess ftw!

whale55 - June 5, 2008 07:31 PM (GMT)
Nintendo for the win. I thank Gunpei Yokoi!!!
The wii is still one of the most sucessful, and it rocks. Don't let anyone say differently. Someone who can sit there playing halo 3 24/7 might actually be doing that in real life [you know, shooting people just for the fun of it.].

Avielus - June 6, 2008 02:37 AM (GMT)
XBox 360 + Halo 3 + Guitar Hero 3.

Seriously, just because I play Halo does not mean I am a rabid killer.

I just kinda got bored with my Wii. Unless you count Brawl, which never gets old. I'd just rather do other things, like play Diamond and Halo.

Aqua - June 15, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
PS3 right now. Simply for the amazingness that is Metal Gear Solid 4. Was playing it at my friends house the other day, and I was keeling over at how awesome it was. I might have to get a PS3 just for this, and FFXIII & Versus XIII.
No, not the 80Gb though. the 20. Cause I have a PS2 that I don't plan on getting rid of anytime soon.

Of course, the Wii just got Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk in Japan, and I've been addicted to that for a while too.

Xbox 360 all the way. I like nintendo and all, but I like first-person shooters more than other types of games. True, Metal Gear Solid 4 is amazing, but there are more fps games for Xbox 360 than for PS3. Besides, Halo 3, Call Of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Battlefield: Bad Company, and Frontlines: Fuel Of War are reason enough to pick XBox 360 over any other platform.
But each console has it's pros and cons and there's no way around that for now.

Axphear - August 23, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
I have a Wii, but I wouldn't say it's the best. They truley revolutionize the gameplay, but they haven't come out with a lot of very good games. Plus Whenever gameing companys make a game for all the systems, forsome reason, The Wii allways ends up with the sloppy version. :<_<:

X-box360 has way more good games. So does PS3. ::(:
Plus they have way better online capabylity. [and I think it's really cool to play music on them.]

I don't have a favorite. But I feel disapointed in the Wii. They can do so much better but they don't.

=/ Since when is MGS an FPS or TPS? It's Tactical Espionage u.u

At the moment, I'm going for Xbox 360, mainly because it'll my best friend for RPGs for the next year.

Yes, I know there are FPS games, but I abhor them. Especially Halo. The only ones you can get me to play are Goldeneye, the original Perfect Dark, and the Timesplitters games. I played Battlefield Bad Company on both 360 and PS3, though personally I like the PS3 version more. But that's because my friend can make some amazing feats (Shooting a chopper down with an M-16? Heck yeah). I got Quake 4 solely for the reason of it coming with Quake 2. Which was my favorite PC game.

Though I mainly got the 360 for Tales of Vesperia, and Star Ocean the Last Hope.

And

I downloaded the demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed yesterday.

It's AMAZING. It's perfecter than I expected it to be. Which basically means it's better than perfect. Can't wait for the full game >.<
Hopefully they'll have a Silent Hill 5 demo up soon... and three days left till Tales of Vesperia!

I really only got the Wii for the Virtual Console, and Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk. The Virtual Console keeps me amused, since I can play some of the games that I grew up with, like R-Type, and Gunstar Heroes. I'm waiting for them to bring Mega Man X to VC, and for the US release of Mega Man, and Mega Man 2 for VC.

I find it funny how PC isn't even an option xD

Oh yeah, me too! I'm just hoping they don't screw it up for the Wii...

Aqua - August 29, 2008 02:13 AM (GMT)
I don't see why they would. The Wii version is focusing on the strong point of the Star Wars Episode III game. The Duel mode, so I don't think the story will be such a big deal. My friend and I just want it for the Duels anyway.

Got Tales of Vesperia for the 360 yesterday too, as well as Soulcalibur IV. Both are awesome. Tales is and probably will be the best JRPG out for the 360 (Topping Eternal Sonata in my book), until Star Ocean The Last Hope comes out. Repede is flippin' awesome.

Avielus - August 29, 2008 05:17 AM (GMT)
Oh hey, Tales of Vesperia DID just come out! I HAVE to get that. Hopefully the limited edition with the soundtrack. :P

Hey Aqua, you're forgetting about Final Fantasy XIII. I'm sure that's going to be a lot of fun for X360 when it comes out ^_^

Oh, and maybe Infinite Undiscovery. I don't know as much about that... but yeah the Xbox is getting a lot of JRPGs now. Very, very nice.

Aqua - August 30, 2008 01:40 AM (GMT)
It's not the whole game's soundtrack. It's the 10th Anniversary soundtrack, with several tracks from Vesperia, a few from Tales of Symphonia, a couple from Tales of Destiny, and a few from Tales of Phantasia.

I have no idea why they say it's the 10th anniversary soundtrack, when the series' 10th Anniversary in America was two years ago, back when Tales of the Abyss came out in the US (That's why Tales of the Abyss came out. Tales 10th Anniversary in Japan)

Ehh. I've never been a huge fan of Final Fantasy. The only ones I ever liked were IV and VIII, VIII being my favorite. Lightning looks awesome though (Gunblade FTW!)

Infinite Undiscovery at the very least has my eye on it. It looks great. Tri-ace has always cooked up some great games, and I have some pretty good faith. Being that it was the original team that created Tales and all. Especially with the new Star Ocean game.

Wii has particularly piqued my interest once again with Castlevania Judgment. Now I can kick even more butt with Alucard, but this time, I can do it in a full 3D fighting game! It'll have connectivity to Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia coming out for the DS as well... Wonder what kinda extras it'll have?

I've also just gotta wait for Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk to come out now too... It was one of the main reasons I got a Wii.

Oh, and no, unless a Tales game comes out on the PS3, I don't intend on getting one.
