I - Wolf - petted my new, um, pet as we walked. I wasn't sure I was really doing, but, whatever the cost, I was ready to attack anything with Slayer - my pokemon. Slayer was a pure white absol with nice, deep blue where needed. Slightly 'evil-ish' as well ^^
I turned my attention to a battle - we needed to train.

You walk around your hometown and notice a group of kids nearby. The biggest kid - probably the leader - is battling another kid with his Mudkip.

"Mudkip, use Bubble!" he commanded.

The other kid's Pokemon received the blast, and the battle was over.

"Haha!" the winning trainer said. "No one can defeat me!"

Suddenly, he turn around and noticed you. "Hey! I've never seen you around before! The name's Ragg. (lol weird name xD) Wanna battle?"

'Umkay, I'll except! Um, Slayer, go!'
Then I lowered my voice.
'Humph. This'll be over before it's begun.'

Ragg: "Seems you're a little nervous." >83 "Mudkip! Go!"

Mudkip comes forward with a Tackle attack!

Accuracy: 95%

Your turn to launch an attack! >3 (Then both sides will receive calculated damage)

'Um, Scratch!' I cried. My first battle hopefuly should go well.

Mudkip tackles Absol, but Absol counters with a Scratch attack.

Scratch:
Damage: 4 HP

Both sides take hits.

Absol: 16/20 HP
Mudkip: 14/18 HP

"Grr..." Ragg murmurs. "Get on your feet, Mudkip! Use Bubble Attack!"

Damage: 2 HP (duude weak attack! xD Ragg is so stupid xD *shot*)
Accuracy: 100%

I stutter.
'Hm, kay, Leer!' I cried.

Mudkip scrambles forward and launches a Bubble attack, while you use Leer.

Mudkip's attack hits, but Absol recovers quickly and glares at the Mudkip with a Leer attack. Mudkip flinches back a bit.

Absol: 14/20
Mudkip: 14/18, Defense -1 (next attack will do 3 extra damage)

'Hm...? Okay, Scratch!' I cry. Equal amounts of health is bad.

Ragg watched as your Scratch attack landed, doing extra damage this time. "NO!" he shouted. "Gah! Mudkip, Water Gun!"

Water Gun: 4 HP damage, 100 Accuracy

Slayer: 10/20 HP
Mudkip: 7/18 HP

"Water Gun again!" Ragg commanded.

'Iiinteresting. Now, Scratch again!' I cried.

Absol flew at the Mudkip, raking the Water Pokemon with sharp claws. Mudkip staggered back, and Ragg called out again. "No, Mudkip! Use another Water Gun!" Mudkip opened its mouth wide and blasted a spray of water in Absol's face.

Absol: 6/20 HP
Mudkip: 3/18 HP

'Use it again.' I yawned. We were winning.

Absol flew at the Mudkip, Scratching it. Mudkip staggered back and fell into a heap at his trainer's feet. "No!" Ragg screamed. Scowling, he turned to you. "I guess you won," he said, recalling his Mudkip. "Nice job," he murmured to the red and white ball.

He faced you. "That was a nice battle," he said.

Congratulations, Absol earns 25 exp. =D

'Bye, then.'
I walked away...
'So, um, where is the exit?'

You walk through the town in search for the route to Kiti Woods.

You spot it up ahead. Do you wish to move on or continue looking through the town?

'Erm, let's go!' I smiled, and ran up to it. Slayer followed.

You approach the entrance to Kiti Woods. It's not the biggest woods ever, but Slayer can hear the noises of Wild Pokemon within the trees.

And you proceed. =O

'Trees as far as the naked eye can see.' I smiled happily whilst petting Slayer.
'Abs!'
'Er - c'mon, let's find something to do.'

You notice a PokeMart as you walk into the woods. (( Buy if you wish. )) A little boy is sitting on a bench in front of the PokeMart. A Marill is sitting glumly at his feet. Both human and Pokemon looked incredibly down.

'Skip the mart,' I grumbled, 'Oi! You! What's the matter?' I barked at the two creatures.

The little boy jerked his head up as he saw you approach. Marill looked a little cautious, but didn't move.

"Um...hi," the boy said slowly. Then he sighed.

'Tell me whats wrong.' I said, almost sternly.
Midgets. I thought with a frown.

The boy seemed unsure to talk to a total stranger at the moment, but it appeared that he was greatly troubled and must talk to someone.

Sighing again, he explained, "See this Marill? He's one of the Pokemon my sister gave to me when she lost her leg in an accident. She no longer wanted to train, so she gave this Marill and a Chikorita to me. The two Pokemon were best buddies but... no matter how I try to befriend them, they never seemed to like me. And recently, Chikorita and I got into a fight and she ran away. Marill's really upset, and I don't know what to do."

The Marill at the boy's feet glared.

'Thats - that's really bad,' I sighed, 'Can I help you? Slayer and I would love to help you.'

The boy's face clouded. "Oh um, that's really kind of you," he said. "But I really don't know... Marill hates me now, and I'm not even sure I want to see Chikorita again. Say, can you take this Marill to my father? He lives in Cherry Town. It's just after Kiti Woods. And um..."

The boy took out an envelope from his pocket. "This is a letter I've written to my dad about... certain matters, but I never got around to send it to him. Can you take this, too? If not, that's alright."

The boy held the envelope and looked you anxiously.

Marill seemed to enjoy the chance to get away from the little boy. It walked by your side with a content smile on its face.

You, Marill, and Slayer walk into the woods. Slayer trekked beside Marill to make sure no Wild Pokemon will be able to hurt it. The sun shines through the tree leaves, but suddenly, the ground darkens. A storm cloud rolls above in the skies...

Slayer growls.

'What is it, Slayer?'
Wolf started to get worried. She placed a very shajy hand on her Absol's head. Then she tucked the Marril up in a small blanket she'd found at home.

Slayer, being an Absol, had the ability to predict the weather. But you didn't need keen senses to know that a storm was fast brewing. A part of the cloud flashed and a clap of thunder sounded. Slayer turned his head skyward and growled, but continued walking alongside you.

While your Absol was wary of the rain, other Pokemon seemed to be enjoying the prospect of it. A line of Wooper emerged from the bushes alongide you, cheeping happily as they wobbled across the path and into the bushes on the other side. Your Marill looked up and smiled- it would like to be outside in a rainstorm for once.

'Oer. I hate the rain.' I graoned, and continued down the path (?)

The dirt path began getting muddy and slippery as water beat down upon it. Soon Slayer's white paws were brown with mud, as were your feet. However, Marill seemed to enjoy all the wetness, and rolled around playfully in the mud.

Slayer looked at you and growled a warning. A streak of lightning flashed in the sky.

'Thanks,' Iumbled, and ran up the muddy path, slipping one ot two times. Marill seemed happy.
'Err, c'mon, you two.'

You looked ahead to see that a hill had given away into a mudslide. Fortunately it's not heading toward you, but as it passes, a Geodude emerges from the ground and attacks your Pokemon.

Geodude: lv.4, 18/18 HP

'Er...Marill, if you want, tackle it, whilst Slayer shall scractch it,' I mummbled, and took a step back from the mudslide.

Marill launched forward with a Tackle, and Slayer spread its claws for a Scratch attack. The Geodude used Defense Curl.

Slayer: 20/20 HP
Marill: 16/16 HP

Geodude: 9/17 HP (^defense, -2 damage next turn)

'Err...okay, Marill, Tackle! Slayer, Leer!' I cried, beggining to confide in more confiedence.

Marill rolled into a ball and tackled the Geodude right after Slayer Leered at it, making the Geodude to flinch in fear. It retaliated with a quick Sand Attack.

Marill: 16/16 HP
Slayer: 20/20 HP
(accuracies lowered slightly)

Geodude: 5/17 HP
