Silver and I sauntered into Whitefeather Town. I looked around eagerly, and wondered what there was to do here.

(This is your hometown, so you should already know what there are, but ah well. XD)

Your mom walks toward you. "Hi there, Marie!" she says. "Are you ready to leave for your journey? Or do you want to stay here and battle one of those kids over there?"

"Hmm, I think I'll battle one of those boys first," I replied. "Let's go battle, Silver!" I said to my Skamory, placing my hand fondly on her smooth back.

You prepare for battle as your mom walks away.

A boy walks over with his Nidoran. "I'm Rowan," he says. "I'm new like you, but I'm so much stronger. D= " (He likes to brag =O)

Nidoran steps forward, ready to attack.

"Stronger, yeah right," I said. "Silver, use Peck!"

Skarmory charges in for a Peck attack, and hits the target. Dazed, Nidoran counters with a Scratch.

Peck:
Damage: 4 HP
Accuracy: 100

Scratch:
Damage: 4 HP
Accuracy: 100

Both sides have taken hits.

Silver: 16/20 HP
Nidoran: 11/15 HP

Rowan looks a little nervous. "So what! I'm still going to win!" he complained, and commanded, "Nidoran! Use Poison Sting!"

"Try to dodge the Poison Sting!" I commanded. "And use Peck!"

Silver flew in the air and managed to dodge most of the Poison Stings, but its left wing was hit. Flight disturbed, it barely managed to regain balance before shooting back toward the Nidoran and launching a set of Peck attacks.

Poison Sting: 2 HP damage, 100 Accuracy
Peck: 4 HP damage, 100 Accuracy

Silver: 14/20 HP
Nidoran: 7/15 HP (lv3)

"Gah! Now what?!" Rowan cried, losing confidence. Nidoran, having lost half of its HP already, is struggling to stand.

"Hokay, probably another Peck will do it," I told Silver.

Alas, Peck only does 4 damage cos its Base Power is 40. D=

"Oh no, we're losing!" Rowan cried. "Nidoran, get up and use Poison Sting again! HURRY!! DX DX DX "

Silver got the better of the round, but was Poisoned by Nidoran's Poison Sting.

Silver: 12/20 HP Status: Poison (will lose 2 HP per round)
Nidoran: 3/15 HP (nooow one more Peck will do it) xD

"Some little voice from somewhere is telling me that now one more Peck will do it," I told Silver.

Silver glanced at Marie, and used Peck once more.

Nidoran, greatly weakened, met its end for this battle.

Rowan AKA Loser: "I...I lost!"

Rowan returns his fainted Nidoran into a PokeBall and walks away, shoulders slumping, while your mom walks over to congratulate you. ^-^

"Thanks for the praise," I told my mom after she congratulated me. Then I glanced at Silver. "I'd better go heal up Silver," I added hastily.

You take Silver into the nearby Whitefeather Town lab, and you walk out completely healed.

"I suppose you're going to leave now?" your mom asks. "Or, there's still a couple of kids nearby... Not sure if they're be much of a challenge though. *winkwink* "

(You can now choose to continue here or move on to Kiti Woods. ^^)

"Uh, I guess I'll leave now. Good-bye!" I turned to Silver. "Let's go to the Kiti Woods," I told her.

Silver nodded. "Ska!"

I walked to the Kiti Woods, Silver by my side.

Your mom waved good-bye, and you made your way toward the trees in the distance.

Next stop: Region One, Kiti Woods. =3

I gazed at my leafy surroundings curiously. There were wild Pokemon here. I'd never battled wild Pokemon before. And there was a PokeMart, too. I'd never visited a PokeMart, either.

You noticed an old man walk out of the PokeMart. "Hey there, young traveler!" he said, waving. "You're a new trainer, I suppose? That's a healthy-looking Skarmory you have! Anyways, these woods may be small, but there are some pretty dangerous wild Pokemon. I suggest you stock up on some items at this handy PokeMart. o^^o "

Yawning, the old man walked slowly by. "Wish I was still a young trainer...ah..."

"Time for shopping," I said, walking into the PokeMart. "Alrighty, I'll have a Fishing Rod I, a Potion, and two Pokeballs."

"Thanks," I said to the clerk, and put away my purchases. Then I went out the door. "Okay, so now what?" I asked myself. Then Silver nudged me, and nodded to the path.

"Oh yeah," I replied. "Well, let's get walking."

You begin your walk through the woods. Silver seems to be extremely alert.

"Skaa!" Silver cries, telling you she's scented something.

"What is it, Silver?" I asked curiously, running to my Skamory's side.

Silver leads you away from the main path and toward a clearing. You see an injured Pokemon lying on the ground, bleeding from a wound!

What is the Pokemon? Will you help it? =O

"Oh no!" I gasped, running over to the injured Pokemon and dropping to my knees. The Pokemon was a Poochyena, gazing helplessly at me. I looked around desperately for something to help the Poochyena with. Then I remembered the Potion I had. I whipped it out and sprayed the Poochyena's wound with it.

The little gray Poochyena winces as the spray covers the wound, then lays still as the Potion takes effect. You wait with the Poochyena for a few minutes, and after a while, the wound has closed and is starting to heal.

Thanks to you, this Poochyena will be fine. ^^

The Poochyena slowly stands up and glances at you. It cautiously places a paw on your knee and licks your hand in thanks. It then gazes up at you. "Poochy!" it cried, its tail wagging back and forth.

"Awww," I cooed, stroking the Poocyena's head fondly. "Do you want me to capture you?" I asked it. "Or do you want to stay here?"

Poochyena looked around the forest, a fearful glance in its eyes. Then it looked back at Silver, and barked fondly at you. Suddenly, a mischevious glint appeared in its eyes, and he ran back a few paces. Playfully barking once more, he took up a battle stance.

Poochyena wants you to battle him! How do you respond?

"Are you sure you want to battle?" I asked Poochyena. "I mean, you'll get hurt again, and I don't have another Potion."

Poochyena's tail drooped, and he studied the ground as he thought about it. Giving his wound a quick lick, he stepped towards you.

"Yena!" he cried, making a motion as if he were running alongside you. He then covered his wound with his tail, pretending it wasn't there. Flicking his tail aside, he took up a battle stance, then relaxed, looking up at you to see if you understood.

"Let me think,"I said. After thinking a bit, I asked,"Do you mean that you want to be my Pokemon? Or is it something else?"

Poochyena tilted his head to one side, thinking. Then he stood up straight, lifting his head and pretending that he wasn't injured. He glanced at you, signalling that was the first part of the message.

Still acting uninjured, he dropped low to the ground and growled, as if in preparation for a battle. Relaxing again, he looked at you.

"Oh! Now I get it," I said. "You want to battle with me, and don't care about your injury. Am I right?"

The Poochyena seemed to curl back its mouth and smile. It obviously wants to battle and possibly be a part of your team.

"Yena!" it barks, keeping its battle stance.

"Alrighty," I said. "Silver, use Leer!"

Silver uses Leer, lowering Poochyena's Defense. Surprisingly, it recovered faster than a normal Poochyena would've, and launched a Tackle attack.

Tackle// 4 HP damage, 100 Accuracy

Silver: 16/20 HP
Poochyena: 17/17 HP (defense lowered, next attack will do 2 extra damage)

"Okay, now use Peck!" I commanded, hoping I didn't hurt Poochyena too much

Poochyena yelped as it was hit by the Peck. It shakily got back to its feet, but was able to throw itself at Silver in another Tackle attack.

Tackle: 4 HP damage, 100 Accuracy

Poochyena: 11/17 HP

"Go up into the air to dodge Poochyena's attack and use Leer!" I said.

Silver flapped her wings, cawing as she lifted into the air above your head. She glanced down at the Poochyena and used Leer, lowering the Poochyena's defense again.

Poochyena barked, and jumped up in an attempt to Tackle the steel bird. But, it fell short and dropped back onto the ground. It growled and paced beneath the bird.

Silver: 12/20 HP
Poochyena: 11/17 HP (defense lowered, next attack will do 2 extra damage)
