So, Windows Vista has recently came out. Apparently it has new desktop themes, skins, and "glossier", probably-cooler icons. XD

They also say it's more secure and better, etc. etc. than Windows XP.

My laptop says it's designed for XP but compatable with Vista, but I'm not sure whether I want it or not. I mean, I'm totally devoted to XP. =O

What do you guys think about Vista? Are you considering getting it?

Nah- the prospect hasn't even approached my parents, and the windows XP interface is one I've grown to know and love. If it's stylish interfaces we crave, we can always use the mac.

Microsoft has all-around copied the mac. IE 7, the newly redesigned Internet Explorer (Which I use- it's awesome) has tabs like Firefox. Mac focuses on interface, and seeing as it's brought them a lot of publicity, Windows has right to copy.

Nah, I'm not planning on getting it. I'm perfectly content with my Windows XP, and the way it sounds, Vista isn't much different. If the biggest change is the user interface, I'd probably be like, "Wow!" at first, but then later be rather indifferent about it.

I have it, and I'm using it right this very second. It is AWESOME.

Really? I love XP, but I think it might be good to be up-to-date with the latest stuff. XD Even so... I don't have any problems using XP right now. I guess it's all about the upgrades.

Based on the official Vista homepage, it's safer, purdier, easier, better connected, and people are actually implying that XP is a chore to use compared to Vista. O___O

First of all, Aero is awesome! The transparency effect and the cool icons and skin... just great, in matter of graphics I have no complaints. The Vista Sidebar seems rather pointless in my opinion, it takes more space than it has utility but besides that... I like the desktop backgrounds that come with it :3

They say that Vista's all "eye-candy". Is there anything else? o.o

Duude I just found out my computer can get a free upgrade to Vista Home Premium. =O

Should I get it? XD I'll lose XP forever and possible lose a few days of Internet while they upgrade it. v_v

Maybe you could go to a library and use their internet while it's upgraded. I didn't think it would take days to upgrade though. I thought it was just downloaded software or something.
