Of course POKEMON is way better, Digimon is a filthy copy-cat. Urgh.

For a start, pokemon faint but digimon DIE. Then, I have seen the slight bit of blood. Also, the animation is rubbish and it has no good jokes like Team Rocket. And it's just plain boring.

Actually, Digimon never copied off of Pokemon. They were both in production at the same time, but Pokemon was produced first. Then Digimon was produced.

I like both Digimon and Pokemon, but I more prefer Pokemon, since I'm not that much into Digimon. One of my favorite Digimon is Renomon, though. He's always been my favorite :3

Aside from the fact that you posted this topic basically to flame Digimon, I'd say they're more or less the same thing for different age groups. Digimon has pretty good animation, in fact. Although the plot is painfully confusing, the violence is so much more realistic that Pokemon. Seriously- the Pokemon are slashing/burning/frying/drowning each other, you'd expect there to be some blood. But no, the target audience for Pokemon is way low. Digimon is slightly higher.

It's just a different concept, is all. I like Pokemon better because I know all of them (I seriously doubt anyone knows all the digimon) and because they're cuter and easier to understand. But in the way of TV shows, Digimon reigns supreme if only because the Pokemon TV show is perfectly awful.

This IS a pkmn boad, so chances are low that ayone strongly likes Digimon more, but give it some credit. The creature designs are far superior to pkmn in some cases, as pkmn has a limit on both cuteness and whatever the other end of the spectrum is. I do admit that Digimon's movies were a bit--stretched with that one--Paildramon, IIRC...
...but, Team Rocket is far from Etemon or Datamo, classic villains...pkmn just misses the way true villains should be, as well as any--suspense--per se, the last time I recall pkm having that, excluding the Brandon battles, was the Johto league afer he beat Macey and Jackson...

Meh, they are DIFFERENT...and if Digimon had a larger video gae fanbase and a more popular TCG, it easily could still be solid competition even to this day...

Let me explain something.
First of all, Digimon CANNOT be a copy. Why? Well Digimon started off as an anime. Pokemon started of as a game. Then into an anime.
Digimon and Pokemon may have an almost exact title but that shouldn't mean its a copy. Oh and what Pointy said.
Now back on topic... I really don't know. I think I like Pokemon more.....

I know A LOT of people on Serebii who hates Team Rockets so bad and thinks they should be OFF the show. I'm on of them. With them, the show gets worse and worser.

Digimon actually started out as a Tamagotchi that could battle others so more boys would be interested into Tamagotchi. Then, it became popular so there was an anime.

Wel, the only time I liked them was when James said 'That's strange, I thought I heard someone say 'We're blasting off again!'. But we copyrighted thet! Oh, who cares?!' in a posh accent. But that doesn't matter. And besides, it was only my opinion. So why are you all flaming me for just what I think?

We're not flaming you- you were the one openly flaming Digimon with no reason to back it up. We're just defending it because it doesn't deserve to be flamed like that.

That line is pretty funny, but of all the episodes they appear in (practically every one) and that is their only funny moment, they turn from being an occasional chuckle to a downright annoyance.

I used to like Digimon, but now I hate it. I like Pokemon much better.

I've only seen one Digimon show, and even then, it was in French and I didn't understand a word. Even then, I liked it. As far as I know, it actually has plot.
Of course, Pokemon's still good. Not the shows, though (the shows are horrible, but the movies are alright), but the games (especially Mystery Dungeon!). And the Pokemon themselves.

I was told that Digimon was created before Pokemon, but meh. I'm not going to blame either of copying the other.

About the show, I'm sure Digimon is much better. Blah. The Pokemon show just isn't good anymore in my opinion. Far too repetitive. If every episode wasn't along the lines of "Ash and friends go somewhere, meet Team Rocket, Team Rocket steals some Pokemon, Ash tells Pikachu to use Thundershock, Thundershock doesn't work, everyone is in shock (no pun intended), somehow Team Rocket is stopped, everyone goes home with a happy smile on their face", then it might be better.

About the monsters, I'd have to say I like Pokemon better. Digimon seem to all be these scary, exotic monsters, and while that's not a bad thing, there's not a lot of variation. I may be drastically wrong on this, though, I only have a list of some of them with pictures from who knows what. I don't think the names are that original, though.

About other things, like evolution or whatever, I really don't know much about Digimon, but from what my cousin has told me (and I oddly still remember), Digimon seems to have a more interesting system.

I like Pokemon a lot more, but Digimon seems pretty interesting, and if I were to start watching another Pokemon-ish show, it'd probably be this. If that made sense. Meh.

I was saying that Team Rocket was a joke. Yeah, I'd agree about the anime, but apart from that, Pokemon is sooo much better. ^^ I have evidence.
