Title: Favorite Hound

Mine's Arcanine. I like it for its speed and you can teach it good fire attacks, as well as Extreme Speed.

Houndoom! Because it's Dark AND Fire type! Those are some of my favorite types. ^^
For some strange reason, I also think it's kind of cute. o_0

Yeah, he is cute. I think they all are pretty cute. I'm pretty wierd in that way, lol.

Houndoom... I have no idea why. It's cute (I have a twisted sense of 'cute'), and I have one in my games that I am quite fond of. Demon (my Houndoom) is one of the strongest I have.

Hmm, I'm not sure what to choose. They're all such cool Pokemon!
But if I had to choose one of them, I'd choose Houndoom. He's the coolest :D

What of Mightyena? No forgetting him. :<
Anyhow, Manetric for me. It's just so streamlined. It seems like it's the definition of "cool". ^^
Kaiser - January 7, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
I didn't put Mightyena, because he's a hyena, and from what I heard from Animal Planet, a hyena is in the feline family. But I can add it in if you wish.
IceMasterX - January 7, 2007 01:57 PM (GMT)
I picked Houndoom because it's a DARK type. . .
Wyvern - January 7, 2007 02:02 PM (GMT)
Hondoom is my 2nd favorite pokemon because its both Dark/Fire two of my favorite types plus it looks cool.
Zephyr - January 7, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
Mightyena still looks like a hound, acts like a hound, and is generally a hound in every way other than the fact that there's a "-yena" at the end of its name. And I believe Hyenas are either some sort of wild dog or a branch-off of the weasel family.
Eievui - January 7, 2007 02:46 PM (GMT)
No, hyenas are actually more related to cats than dogs, believe it or not.
Wolf Link - January 7, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
Houndoom. I love dark pokemon. It is my third favourite pokemon.
Noodles - January 7, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
*Ahem* If Mightyena isn't a dog, then does that mean that Poochyena isn't one? It has a pooch in it. C'mon.
| QUOTE (Wikipedia) |
Although hyenas bear some physical resemblance to wild dogs, they make up a separate biological family which is most closely related to Herpestidae (the family of mongooses and meerkats) |
There. I have no idea where you got the 'related to cats' thing. I watch animal planet all the time, and I have never heard that. Also, most cats (with the exception of the lion) are solitary animals. Hyenas are pack animals, and so are dogs.
Eievui - January 7, 2007 10:37 PM (GMT)
That doesn't mean they can't be part cat and part dog, now does it? :P

That's physically impossible and nevertheless makes no sense, Eievui. They're related to Meercats, but they effectively have a genus of their own. They are doglike, but not necessarily related to dogs. And they aren't related to cats in any way.
Still, Mightyena deserves to be on the list. Like it or not, it is canine-formed. More caninelike, even, than Manetric in some ways. It might not be a dog in body, but it is so in spirit.
