Round 1

The two battlers appear on the field. The Nidoran in one corner of the room flicks its ears, bored and confident about a sure win. The Meowth opposite it is more content on playing with its own tail than fighting, but at the order of the Xerolabs employee directing it, it falls silent.

The trainers order their Pokemon. With a shout from IceMasterX, the Nidoran bounds forward. The horn extending from its head grows long and sharp, and it jumps forward to strike the unsuspecting Meowth. It reels backwards, startled. From its throat rumbles a small tremor that grows increasingly louder. The Nidoran squeals in pain as the deep sound strikes its sensitive ears and steps back a little.
