Title: Agent Myst Versus Npc
Description: Slugma versus Spearow

Zephyr - December 8, 2006 08:59 PM (GMT)
Your NPC is Spearow.

user posted image
It's male. Since it is level 2, it gets a 1 HP boost.

Spearow- 26/26
Slugma- 25/25

By the D/P dex, your Slugma currently knows Yawn and smog, plus the default three-damage tackle.

State your attacks.

Agent Myst - December 8, 2006 10:14 PM (GMT)
Hm, lemme go with Yawn...

Round 1

The Spearow and Slugma make their way onto the cramped battlefield. Slugma's magma body gives off a soft luminescent glow, throwing eerie shadows around it. The fire Pokemon seems nonchalant. It is very slow in attack, being a slug and all, so the spearow takes its chance. It lunges forward with a fierce peck attack. However, as soon as its beak collides with Slugma's molten magma exterior, it wheels backwards in pain. Slugma takes damage as well. The slug finally attacks, inhaling so much air that the oxygen level in the room began to deplete. The Spearow becomes immediately drowsy, its movements sluggish. The oxygen deprivation of its brain forces it to fall asleep.

Spearow- 24/26
Slugma- 21/25

Note: Slugma, being made of molten magma, deals two damage to its opponent whenever hit by a physical move.

Nice...

I will try our Smog, this time...

Round 2

The drowsy spearow lurches to its feet and flaps its wings in an attempt to stay upright. It lunges forward groggily with its beak, but the attack falls short. Slugma siezes its chance to attack and breathes out a large cloud of intoxicating gases. The spearow inhales them and coughs, but its sleep overcomes its panic. It falls to the floor, fast asleep from lack of oxygen and from the noxious gases. The gases continue to float about the room, not bothering Slugma.

Spearow- 22/26 [Asleep]
Slugma- 21/25

Arena status: There is lots of noxious gas floating about, which will get in everyone's eyes and bother them. This will remain for about two to three rounds, or however long it takes them to fix their ventilation duct.

I am liking this...

Slugma uses Tackle.

Poor Spearow. Poor, poor Spearow. :P

Hate to break it to you, but it's not... good etiquette to post in someone else's battle topic. This is a verbal warning, but don't do it again.

Round 3

The liquid Pokemon moves forward surprisingly quick for a slug, striking the Spearow. The Pokemon groans in its sleep but doesn't wake up. A clanking sound is heard from higher up as one of the workers at Xerolabs begins mechanical repair on the air filter.

Spearow- 19/26 [Asleep]
Slugma- 21/25

xD...

Howsabout...Smog, again...

I think I am going to play along next round...

Round 4

The slugma again exhales toxic fumes, which swirl around the spearow. The acid enter its lungs, and the bird coughs and sputters. The poison is taking its toll.

A crashing sound is heard from the air vent, followed by muffled cursing. The ducts are still not fully repaired yet.

Spearow- 16/26 [Asleep]
Slugma- 21/25

(Spearow took 1 extra damage from inhaling the previous round's smog. When it wakes up, it will be poisoned.)

Agent Myst - December 12, 2006 10:22 PM (GMT)
This time...Tackle...

Zephyr - December 13, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
Round 5

Slugma inches forward as fast as the slug can move, its gelatinous form hissing over the dusty tiles. It moves with surprising speed, crashing right into the sleeping Spearow. The bird Pokemon is jolted awake immediately as the Slugma's magma-formed body touches its delicate body. It leaps back, feathers singed, and promptly coughs at the smog floating around the room. The poison in the air has infiltrated its lungs, and it screeches in pain as its breath grated like mortar and pestle. Furious and in pain, it lunges forward with its beak. The attack strikes the Slugma head-on, and the furious SPearow barely notices the burns left on its beak afterwards.

After more clanking and muffled cursing, a mild groaning is heard as the air conditioner eases into working condition. However, after whirring for about five seconds, it stops. More cursing.

Spearow- 9/25 [Poisoned]
Slugma- 17/25

Agent Myst - December 14, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Well-written there ^_^...

Tackle will about do it...

Zephyr - December 14, 2006 02:44 AM (GMT)
Round 6

Another full-on tackle by the relentless slug sends the Spearow spinning away, breath rasping as he tries to recover. The poison digs at it and it gasps for breath. Despite its poor condition, it lunges for another Peck. Stepping and thrusting blindly, it manages to clip the Slugma, but not so much that either Pokemon was hurt badly. The spearow rests in a corner, its breathing ragged and pained.

With a clank, the air conditioner begins whirring confidently. The cursing ebbs away. The smog is drawn from the room, allowing both Pokemon to breathe normally.

Spearow- 3/25
Slugma- 15/25

The air conditioning is in full, working condition now.

Agent Myst - December 15, 2006 12:08 AM (GMT)
Tackle...yay, I completed the first battle!

Zephyr - December 15, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
Round 7
With a final lurching movement, the Slugma zooms forward to strike the Spearow full-force. The neurological instinct in the bird Pokemon's brain was activated, and the Spearow keeled over, fainted. Paramedics raced in with a stretcher and lifted the injured Spearow out.

Slugma has won the battle and grown to level 3. Its HP is now 27/27.

Arena condition: The air conditioner is repaired and working. Much of the dust has been cleaned off the linoleum, parts of which are partially melted doe to the Slugma's magmatic body.
